Cosemi Technologies Inc. is the World’s Premier Photodiode Supplier
Based in Irvine, CA, Cosemi Technologies is the first fabless GaAs and InGaAs optical component semiconductor company. Since 2006, Cosemi has been a leading supplier of high volume, high performance, low cost photodiodes. Cosemi’s GaAs photodiode and InGaAs photodiode product lines support data speeds ranging from 1G to 10G bits per second. A photodiode, also known as a photo sensor or photodetector, is often paired with a VCSEL (vertical cavity semiconductor emitting laser) to create fiber optic receiver and transmitter modules called a ROSA and TOSA. Together these two optical semiconductor components are essential in enabling fiber optic communication with copper based electronics. Cosemi’s mission is to work with industry leading integrators and low cost VCSEL suppliers to produce copper competitive, low cost 10G fiber optic receiver and transceiver modules. These modules are most often found integrated within fiber optic data switches as well as fiber to the home (FTTH) installation equipment.
